Skelita : Our Bein

Skelita unboxed.

Skelita is wow. *o* She’s my third complete MH. After C.A.Cupid, and SS Frankie, I was kinda surprised her whole body is rubbery, instead of mostly plastic. Personally, I think it would have been better if she had been all plastic, instead of rubber as it’d hold her position better.

Hola~!

Accessory-wise, she was awesome! I wish she had come in a cheaper pack, without the suitcase, but otherwise, wow. From the dress, to the skirt, bracelet, necklace and shoes, she was wow. =D Too lazy to take pics and do a detailed review; it’s been done before. =D

I can’t look straight.

I’m not too big on her humongous eyes, and will definitely repaint her. I mean, look, she can’t even look you straight in the eyes. *laughs* But I was totally impressed with the body Mattel created for her!

Detailed bones!

The details of the bones on her are amazing! But her legs are really really stiff and hard to bend at the joints.

Wonky legs.

Her right inner thigh isn’t very straightish, so under the skirt, it’s a bit weird (forgot to take a pic of it). I don’t know if it’s meant to be or just the rubber leg is bent out of shape. ^_^; But otherwise, still wow.

I was so impressed with just the whole body itself, I had to make the doll a favourite. While thinking of the character and how it fit in with Nikolai and Sasha, I was inspired pretty quickly. =D

The name came a bit later, but Skelita will be used as Bein (pronounce ‘bane’, like in ‘bane of existence’). Bein is male, but he likes dresses and heels and makeup. >=D I have yet to decide Bein’s default makeup or his hair, but his character is definitely a favourite of mine. =D

A little info about Bein:
While on a trip, Nikolai and Sasha came across a skeleton that was being used as a scarecrow. Nikolai could feel an awareness surrounding the bones, rather like Sasha when he had been a stone gargoyle, so he gave the skeleton life and named him Bein. Nikolai only had enough magic to give Bein flesh on his skull, but he managed to give Bein all five senses. Bein drinks blood in order to maintain the magic that surrounds and holds his bones together. He doesn’t feel any pain when his bones snap, but the magic surrounding his bones act like skin and gives him some sense of touch.
