Black & White Skull Shores Frankie unboxed
I don’t like the Frankie doll in general; cos she’s green. *laughs* She’s really sweet, but I wasn’t sold on her skintone. When I saw that there was a black and white version of her, I just -had- to get her! I especially loved that her hair was black and white and the white was one of my favourites for wigs — it’s got a blue sheen under certain lighting.
Simple, but sweet!
Fankie is my second female MH. Accessory-wise, there’s nothing much to write home about. Simple bracelet, simple cute slippers. The swimsuit is pretty cute too, but she definitely needs something else to wear on a regular basis. =D
I really liked how they did her makeup. The silver-grey eyeshadow/blush all over, and her silver-grey lipstick. And I liked that one of her eyes were a light grey and the other a dark grey. THEN, I noticed something really really wrong with her. -_-
They messed up when they placed the decals on her face. Either that or the decals were made with a big error. The decals weren’t centered properly. And one of her eyes are larger than the other. And her eyebrows were off too.
I’m wonky. =(
It doesn’t look so bad in pictures, but in person it’s really bad. Especially when you can see the indent for the eyes, and really tell the decals are off. The lower stitches on her face is also slightly smudged (but that could be her hair gel’s fault).
I was really sad. Because I wanted to keep her as she was! Now I gotta do something to fix it. -_- The metallic sheen around her eyes will be really hard for me to duplicate. *sobs* I did get inspired by a custom Frankie I saw, so I am inspired to customise, but gah. I’m not happy that I have Frankie in makeup colours I like and I gotta change it. >=(
I got her off amazon, and despite being a limited doll, there seems to be still plenty of her to go around. I am wondering if perhaps the seller is selling rejects, or is Mattel’s quality control really that bad? -_-

For now, the character doll for Kadavri is in the works and will need customisation. Because I really liked this doll, Kadavri’s character came about really quickly. It was quite surprising how easily she fit into Nikolai’s household. =D She was the fourth character created. Erotica’s character came about because of her. =)
A little info on Kadavri:
Erotica “made” Kadavri, putting her together from bits and pieces. When Erotica was trying to animate the corpse, she gave it fresh organs and fresh blood, and tried using electricity to jump-start the heart. It didn’t work. Nikolai was curious so he tried using his blood and magic to animate the corpse. It worked, and Kadavri was born. Kadavri has a brain and internal organs, but is missing vocal chords.
